Gel, cream, patch: they all say "arnica" on the front. They are not the same thing, and the format is only part of the difference.
Some products contain arnica extract or tincture at a stated percentage. Others are homeopathic, with ingredients listed by potency, such as 50M HPUS. These are different product types, they are regulated and labeled differently, and they have been studied separately. Read the active ingredient section of the label before comparing anything else.
Arnica Patch has not been compared with gels or creams in a clinical trial, so no format can be called better on the evidence. The choice is mostly practical: how the area moves, how often you want to reapply, and which ingredient list and directions suit you.
Arnica Patch is a homeopathic patch. Its five active ingredients are each at 50M HPUS: Arnica Montana (bruising, muscle strain), Hypericum Perforatum (pain), Ledum Palustre (swelling, pain), Rhus Toxicodendron (sprains, strains, swelling, pain) and Ruta Graveolens (strains). The label lists its use as the reduction of swelling and pain associated with joint sprains, muscle strains, shin splints, dislocations, overuse injuries and bruising. It also states: claims based on traditional homeopathic practice, not accepted medical evidence.
